Performing well during the tests out on the ice, the time has now come for the support team to leave Crown Bay on the SA Agulhas leaving the ice team on their own with only the thoughts of the challenge ahead.

Built on sledges that will be pulled behind the expedition, 2 – 30ft containers will provide the living space and vital protection from the element, whilst another 30ft container will be the moving science lab that will seek to make a decisive contribution to understanding the effect on climate change upon the poles.

We are delighted to be able to support the world’s greatest living explorer, and his talented team in the hope that they will be complete the last great polar challenge for such a wonderful cause.

The 2,000 mile trek across the continent begins in March and is seeking to raise $10 million for Seeing is Believing, an international initiative to tackle avoidable blindness as well as collecting key data to help us understand the effects of climate change.

Barking Riverside Marketing Suite

Situated on former wasteland, the new marketing suite was designed to fit within a larger community that is being developed along the Thames waterfront in Barking and Dagenham.

Commissioned by Barking Riverside, the project has been designed within the environment in mind. Wind turbines, solar panels, biomass heater and re used structure ensures the projects very low carbon footprint and sustainable high performance during it’s life cycle.

The impression decked terrace, canopy and sleek silver lines gives the building a modern, innovated design that will compliment the future development.

This project was completed in 2008 and took three days to install. There were 5 unites used to create it and the total space created was 3,840 SF interior and 960 exterior.

University of Colorado Solar Decathlon House.

In the late 2007 Solar Decathlon, students from the University of Colorado had a beautiful entry to show off: this beautiful energy-efficient home built around existing shipping containers. The group?s goal was to shift conventional thinking about both construction and energy consumption. By making the home more efficient, they eliminated the need to heat and cool it at the perimeter, instead relying on an HVAC system only at the core of the house. Because of its energy efficiency and its use of recycled building materials, this design seems like a viable environmentally-friendly home for the future.
